PISANG PEAK (6,091m /
19,802ft)
Classic Annapurna Round trek, Exotic high
valleys of Manang & Pisang Peak climbing
Pisang peak rises
from the yak pastures above the Pisang village on
the way to the classic Annapurna circuit route in a
uniform slope to the final summit pyramid which is
an undistinguished snow and ice slope, comprising a
curve ridge and made up of steeply tilted rock,
towering above the valley. The whole western flank,
which is guarded by glacier, might offer you a
considerable challenge, first a traverse of the
whole summit ridge, which connects, to a more
northern summit before curving back west. This peak
ranks the finest trekking peaks of Nepal. The fist
ascent of this peak was made solo in 1955 by J.
Wellenkamp(Germany). Upon ascension we again follow
the famous Annapurna round route via Thorong-La(5,400m)
to Jomsom and then take a panoramic mountain scenic
flight to Kathmandu via Pokhara.
