CHULU EAST (6,200m / 20,341ft)
An exotic Trekking, Climbing Adventure into the
High Valleys of Manang and the Round Annapurna
Chulu East is situated high above the Manang
valley, which was first climbed by Dick Isherwood
and John Noble in 1979. You can have a breadth
taking views across to the Annapurna I, II, III,
IV and Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho
Peak and Manaslu. The climb is combined with the
classic trek around the Annapurna massif and the
Marshyangdi valley and crossing the Thorong La
before descending to the Kali Gandaki valley.
Technically this peak is forward and you should
be familiar with the use of common equipments
like crampons, harness, ice-axe and most of the
climbing will be involved with roped together.
